Vintage Strawberries at Millie Moon Haberdashery, Frome

Date: Thursday 23rd February 2012, 10.30am-1.30pm.

Learn to make your own basket of strawberry needle emeries, once a standard fixture in the well-stocked sewing box. Emeries are filled with a special grit which sharpens and conditions needles. The perfect scrap project, they are quick and easy to make and require only limited sewing skills. The strawberries were featured on the cover of Mollie Makes magazine in June 2011.

Make a variety of beautiful felt rosettes and other blooms, perfect for brooches, hair accessories and embellishments.  Discover how these can all be made entirely with upcycled knitwear – yes, that cherished sweater ruined in the wash! These are quick, easy techniques for which no sewing experience is necessary.
